Oh, I love this topic!
As a child I lived in a Cornish fishing village and spent many hours of my childhood years walking along the coast; I had an affinity with the angry waves. But when the sea was calm and the sun was shining, I loved the coconut smell of goarse and I'd swim in the cold Altantic, not really noticing how cold the water was.
I don't live by the sea at the moment and I miss it.
During the Easter holidays I went to visit my parents in Lyme Regis and we went on the beach several times.

ReplyDeleteWe holidayed in Cornwall last summer. Loved it. Apart from the oh so cold sea!!! Those pebbles are a nice little collection with all their holes.
ReplyDeleteI believe that there can't be a better place for a child to grow up than by the sea. We also find some of those pebbles with holes on our beaches, I wonder what the story is.
