Dido Restarted

 
My first attempt was definitely going to work out too small; more of a wide scarf than a stole and I was worried about the colour too... does it look too bridal? So I changed yarn, changed up a needle size and knitted more repeats of the quill edging pattern to accommodate more repeats in the width.

This secret project needs to be finished by the end of November. I'm being strict and making myself knit a minimum of 6 rows a day. I do find these larger projects with monotonous repeats quite boring and this way I can do other, more stimulating projects at the same time. I'm actually thinking about casting on for a pair of socks next.....or maybe another shawl....hmmm...
