Ugly Socks

Today I finished my Vine Lace socks.

Yarn on skein = lovely

Pattern = pretty

Yarn + pattern = Ugly

So my daughter was right, the yarn and pattern don't go together at all.

These are seriously ugly socks. I hate the way the yarn pools. This project has reconfirmed why I prefer solid and semi-solid yarns. I'm never going to use variegated yarn again. Yuck.

Oh well, at least they are warm and comfy, even if they do look like an elf's barfed on them.
