A couple of weeks back I had a phone call from Able & Cole and a nice young lady persuaded me to give their fruit and veg boxes another go, tempting me with the offer of receiving the fourth box free of charge. I had been a customer about 4 years ago but decided to stop because I didn't think the boxes were very good value.
I'm still in two minds as to whether or not I will continue with the deliveries but at the moment I am enjoying the selections in the boxes and also the recipe cards that are included.
I have already tried out the Spanish omlette with chorizo, using Jersey Royal potatoes and today I made the "Broccoli, Feta & Walnut Soup".
The recipe is described as "a knock-your-socks off broccoli soup" ...although it's a very tasty soup, I wouldn't go that far.
Easy to make and very nutritious with the broccoli, nuts and feta cheese, this is a hearty and filling soup.
Everybody enjoyed it apart from my son who has decided he doesn't like feta cheese.
Looking forward to trying out a few more recipes from Able & Cole using my veg boxes.
