This is a short post - a warning to all cooks! Should you ever get the crazy notion into your head that you might like to make chocolate rice pudding in the slow cooker I have some simple advice: DON'T DO IT!
Get the thought out of your mind and move on.
My foray into slow cooked rice pudding was an unmitigated disaster, probably the single most revolting thing I've ever cooked, even overriding the pumpkin soup incident more than 10 years ago.
I don't ever want to recall the texture or the taste...shiver... and it looked like... well it looked like something unmentionable that you might find in the bottom of a monkey's cage.
I tried tarting it up with cream and some fresh strawberries. Not
surprisingly this made little difference.
I hope I have saved a few souls from this experience.
