Over the next few week I'd like to share with you some of the pieces I have designed for the Cristalina brand since I started working at Crystaline approximately seven years ago.
Since the film, "The Great Gatsby" is a hot topic of conversation right now, I thought I'd start off with this Cristalina set in an Art Deco style. The necklace and earrings are rhodium plated and set with Swarvoksi crystals in "Sapphire" and clear crystal. There is also a matching bangle which I can't locate right now.
And actually there is another reason why I am sharing these designs with you... at work I have been busy the last few weeks uploading to Amazon items of jewellery that I have designed for the Cristalina brand. Over the last seven years I have developed the Cristalina brand (very much to the specifics of our main customer, a TV shopping channel) and we have accumulated quite a bit of stock. I've been tasked with getting it all photographed and uploaded to Amazon. I'm still fine tuning the listings - there are quite a few that need correcting in terms of wording etc. but I think what is really missing from the listings are real photos of a real person wearing the jewellery. Although necessary, I don't think a super clear, touched up photo of a pair of earrings, with no indication of what they actually look like being worn by a real, "non-model person" helps to sell the piece or show it's true nature.
So, I have decided to photograph some of the pieces that I have personally purchased over the years. I expect most of them will be self-portraits with my iPad... I'm not brave enough to have high-res digital images of myself! I think this still gives a good idea of the overall look of the jewellery when worn and below I will link to the high-res images of the jewellery on Amazon.
