Square 75 - 101 Crochet Squares

I still have a load of Vanna's Choice yarn left from my previous adventures in square swapping from many years back. I'm going to make a picnic blanket using motif #75 from Jean Leinhauser's "101 Crochet Squares." This book was given to me by a dear friend from the USA on Ravelry. It's probably my all time favourite crochet block pattern book.

I did have to buy three balls of black yarn for the borders and for stitching together, so it's not totally a stash busting exercise. There will be no colour planning either - I'll simply make motifs with the colours I have available... it's already looking pretty gaudy! 

I'm not sure how big I'm going to make it yet...I'll just keep making them and see how I go...watch this space...
