White Blossom and Emerald Invaders

I'd like to divide

myself in order to see,
among these mountains,
each and every flower
of every cherry tree.

Saigyō (1118-1190)

I took this photo of a parakeet picking off the blossom at a local park called "The Wilderness". My son was playing in a football match so my daughter and I went for a nice walk. I couldn't work out if the bird was eating the blossom or just picking it off since most of it was dropping onto the grass. I wish I'd had my zoom lens with me as I'm sure I would have got some much better photos.
