Corner View - Together

Well, that was a fright! Francesca talking about the possible end of Corner View! Please let's continue! Let's stay together! I do love my erratic weekly meetups with all the lovely bloggers from all corners of the world and Francesca does a brilliant job of being the hostess from her wonderful blog which has been a real inspiration to me. Thank you :-D
This week's theme is "Together" which is quite appropriate for me at the moment in many ways, particularly in that I'm putting together a crochet blanket for my students end of year exhibition at the Riverhouse Barn Arts Centre in Walton-on-Thames. These are my beginners - they have only been crocheting for a few months. Each of my 7 students has made some solid granny squares in bright colours. I am putting a black border around each square and then I'll sew them all together. It's coming together really well and I'm impressed with the progress of my students, most of whom had never even picked up a hook and yarn until recently. I am looking forward to seeing all the efforts of the students come together into one collaborative piece.
The exhibition starts on Wednesday 15th July 2015 and will also feature my intermediate student's work. Some items, including this bright blanket, will be on sale with proceeds going to the art centre.

  2. Great color combination! For yourself or for someone very lucky! I love afgahans! I think I am addicted to them. I would have my mother make me one of every color and sort if she would.

  5. Oh and I too have a soft spot for ginger cats! I have to keep telling myself that I can't keep them. (There's a third ginger that my parents are adopting.) I have a ginger, Harry, who's a little over a year and a true love!
