I got my boyfriend a Kindle for his Birthday. At the same time I also got him the "official" leather cover/case to protect it. The Kindle clips into the "spine" of the case, which opens up like a book. The problem is, this makes the Kindle rather cumbersome to use so he ends up taking it off.
I thought it would be better to just have a little knitted cosy that you could easily slip the Kindle into that would help prevent it getting scratched and also offer some protection from knocks while it's in his bag. So, I made this knitted pouch. I used a chunky wool, knit with a tight gauge to make it sturdy. I also used a simple stitch pattern that I considered "manly".
It has subtle shaping at the top and bottom to accommodate the Kindle's curves and the opening is slightly narrowed so that the Kindle doesn't slip out.
Pattern now available for download, click here!
Here it is...
