Well, this year is a bit different to last...I was with my family in Goa and it didn't really feel like Christmas. We celebrated on the beach and I even played tennis and ate dahl fry!
This Christmas my kids are with their Dad and his family and they have gone down to Devon. I always feel a bit sad when my kids are not around at Christmas. Anyway, Christmas holidays have not really been the same since my parents moved to India every winter.
We did put the tree up last weekend. My kids really enjoy this! I do too...I get nostalgic when I get the same old decorations out that I have had for years. In particular, the salt dough stars and birds I made when I was pregnant with my son more than 11 years ago always remind me of how time flies and things pass us by.
But I will make the most of the free time so I plan lots of knitting and even some sewing?! My machine has been greatly neglected.
