Kindle Cosy Pattern Ready for Download!

I have finally got round to writing up the knitted Kindle Cosy pattern.

Knitted bottom up, in the round with no seaming involved. There is slight shaping at the top and bottom to accommodate the kindle's curved corners and to stop it slipping out of the case when you don’t want it to.

You can download it for free, from here.

This pattern has not been tested tested yet, other than by myself, so I would glady receive any feedback if you have tried knitting it!

  1. I just stumbled upon this pattern and i absolutely love it!! I'm not working with circular needles though. Any tips for trying it out with regular needles??

  2. Hi! I've just made a kindle cosy using your pattern! The yarn I used was quite thick so I dropped the number of stitches and it's worked fine. The only thing was, I cast off really tightly...then it wouldn't fit so I had to undo the casting off and redo it. I have a photo if you want to see it. Thanks so much for the pattern!

  6. You're welcome. Please feel free to copy it/download it, and use it as an example: when I tidy up my corners of the internet it will probably get deleted. Thank you again for the pattern, it's great. With nice thick yarn it really protects my kindle!

  7. I found your wonderful pattern on line and I'm really keen to do this project. However, in round 2 each needle comes out with 3 stitches remaining having just knitted P2. Do I K2, M1P, P1? I think I must be missing something to come unstuck so early! :-?

  8. Hi Neezie! Yes, you are right... I jsut checked and it should read...
    Round 2:
    Needle 1: k1, M1, *P2, K2* until 1 stitch remains, M1P, P1.
    Needle 2: k1, M1, *P2, K2* until 1 stitch remains, M1P, P1.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, I'll correct it now :-)

  10. Hi Mezza, Well, I've now completed my lovely cosy! A small project, but I've learned so much in the making of it. Thanks to you I now know how to do Judy's Magic Cast On, I've mastered the magic loop, and learnt to do a diagonal rib stitch pattern - none of which I'd ever done before! It was a lot of fun. Many thanks.

  11. Thanks for posting this pattern - I was on a quest for a cute Kindle cover and this one is perfect! I'm having some trouble with rows 7-8 (K1, *P2, K2*). Should I be knitting the last stitch in these rows? Any advice would be much appreciated!

  12. Hi, it's me back again! I was wondering if this terrific pattern could be adapted for a MacBook Air of 8"x12"? Any help would be most gratefully appreciated!
