A Blanket in a Year (I hope!)

I have wanted an old fashioned crocheted blanket for a while now but have always been a little daunted by the prospect of the task. I have decided to look at it as a long term project. So I am aiming to make at least one "square" for each day of 2011...that should give me roughly enough.
I already have a bit of catching up to do; I have only made 15 out of the 40 I should have made so far this year!

The pattern is "Grandmother's Lace"  from an old Leisure Arts book, "A Crocheter's Garden of Afghans".

  1. what a good idea... though i must admit that i never understand how people do this kind of project. one a day of anything seems so daunting for some reason. i prefer to make things in a fit of flurry. you are well on your way, and how beautiful your blanket is going to be.

  2. I am trying to finish my crichet blanket as well - quite motivating to see someone else as well.
