Test Crochet - Hanataba Shawl

I am testing another pattern, this time a crocheted shawl in lace weight yarn. Crocheted lace is really so beautiful, especially if you use a gorgeous drapey yarn like Posh Sylvia which has some silk in it to add a lovely sheen.
The colour is not exactly to my taste because I originally purchased it to make a shawl for my neighbour. I had a skein left over and I thought this shawl could count towards my "11 Shawls in 2011" challenge.
It can always be put aside as a gift for somebody :-)

  1. Oh, gorgeous! I have a huge bobbin of lace weight alpaca that I scored at the street market months ago, but I'm having trouble deciphering the Japanese shawl pattern that I have my heart set on. There's a diagram for the main motif, but all the instructions on how many repetitions, increases etc are in Japanese ...
