I am still going with this... although I have had a bit of a break due to other more pressing projects and general happenings in my life. And I'm still on target to finish it this year.
I ordered some more yarn from my usual source and nothing arrived... 3 weeks later I called them only to get the reply, " Sorry, Wendy Supreme 100% Luxury Cotton has now been discontinued and we are not longer able to supply it. We will issue a refund." "WHAT!!!" I wailed, "But I am halfway through making a gigantic blanket that has already taken me 7 months of hard labour!!" " Sorry, try eBay. I recommend you snap up anything you can get your hands on."
Thank goodness for eBay. I managed to get 10 balls at quite a good price too. Phew, that should do me.
I also received my club yarn shipment from Posh yesterday. Some VERY bright pink "Elinor" sock yarn, called "Bobby dazzler". And I also "accidentally" bought some slightly more demure "Baffin Bay" blue "Finesse" lace from Skein Queen. These are my favourite two yarn shops :-)
