Vintage Cricket Sweater Project - Finished

Well, the cricket season is nearly over and I've only just finished this project! The Boy is away camping with his dad  so he's not even here to try it on. I'm a bit worried that it will be too small. I tried the vest on, because The Boy is not that much smaller than me these days, and it's quite tight on me :-(
I enjoyed this vintage knit. It's the first time I've knitted a full project with cables and also the first time I've knitted a V-neck. It's not perfect around the point of the V where I've picked up stitches and I'm not keen on how the cables merge into the decreases - next time I'd continue with partial cables and see how that looks. But overall I don't think it's too bad for a first attempt!
I'll take some modelled pics in full cricket kit when the boy returns. For now the vest is posing along side The Boy's cricket bat (which was a bargain buy for 20p at a car boot sale. The pink Octopus Grip which we had fitted at the local sports shop cost more than the actual bat!)
