Second Encounter with a Slow Cooker


This time I chose the "Pork Hot Pot" recipe... red wine, shallots, pork chops, sun dried tomatoes, herbs....sounding good already....cook for 4 hours, smells wonderful....serve with new potatoes and steamed green beans... and.... we were all a little disappointed. The sauce was very tasty and the shalotts were soft and sweet but the pork was dry and tough :-(

This recipe came from the same book as my First Encounter with a Slow Cooker and I still haven't worked out whether it's my cooking or the recipes or the ingredients that are at fault.

I guess I'll just have to have another go!
