Sectioned - A Blanket in a Year

So how do you go about sewing together more than 600 motifs?
Since this has been mostly a portable project (I have made the majority of my squares while sitting in the car waiting for one of the children to come out of school), I decided that sewing each motif to the blanket one at a time in a continuous fashion was not very practical, especially as the the blanket grows in size. Also, from a psycological point of view, it's quite daunting. So instead I have been sewing them together in blocks of 25 which are easy to manage whilst sat in the car and I also get a sense of achievement each time I finish a block which helps give me the imeptus to continue. I also sew in all the ends when I've finished each block of 25 so that I am not left with that horrendous job at the end. Then I join four blocks together into a strip of 100 motifs and then add these strips to the main body of the blanket.

Two months left to complete this project!
