11 Shawls in 2011 Challenge

I received a notification on Ravelry today that my Dido shawl had won a prize from the December draw of the "11 shawls in 2011" challenge. 

The previous year I had taken part in the same challenge and knitted "10 Shawls in 2010". To be honest, I did start to lose the shawl knitting mojo about halfway through the year so it was nice to get something a little unexpected at the end of it!

A highlight of the challenge was designing and knitting my own shawl (Sheldrake) and then making the pattern available both on my blog and through Ravelry.

My favourite shawl? I think I liked the "Sweet Embrace" stole best. I knitted that for my neighbour and she loved it.

I'm not taking part in the "12 Shawls for 2012" because I really don't want to knit that many more shawls and anyway, I am committed with the "Posh Sock Challenge" for this year :-)

Which reminds me, I need to finish my attempt at designing a Shetland shawl and turn the heels on my Salor socks.
