Posh Sock Challenge - A Rainbow of Socks

I am still plodding along with Monday's red sock. The stitch pattern of the Salor sock is easily memorised so the  knitting is quite repetitive on the straight parts of the socks which means my mind is free to wander...I started thinking about the other colours in my sock yarn stash - the blue, the purple, the violet. Doesn't the rainbow have seven main colours? Isn't the first colour red, like my Monday socks? I recalled the mnemonic for remembering the colours of the rainbow, "Richard Of York Gained Battles In Vain"...Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo,Violet. Hmmm... I didn't have any Posh Orange, Green or Yellow...
I tried to persuade myself that I didn't need anymore yarn... I can make do with what I have...but I couldn't get the idea of the rainbow out of my head.
Before I knew it I had put an ISO up on Ravelry and the Poshies came to the rescue!
I have aquired the full spectrum!
My sock drawer is going to be bursting with colour - Daisy, Sylvia, Betsy, Jeannie, Hannah & Pamela.
Thank you!

  2. Hi Francesca! ISO means "In Search Of"... and in the Ravelry groups there are often threads where you can post ISOs...e.g. "ISO Posh Yarn, Sock Weight - any shade of green" and then people can reply if they have anything suitable to sell of trade :-)
