Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs

Since making the crocheted pot holder using motif #54 from the book Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs, I have been taking a closer look at some of the other motifs...there are lots of motifs which I can imagine using easily for pot holders and blankets...I decided to try out a few more of the patterns.
Then I discovered through Ravelry that there is a group dedicated to to this book....BTS Crochet Motifs CAL... so if you fancy crocheting along with other people or just seeing how some of the motifs looks worked up in different colours, this is a good place to go.
Also, I discovered a German lady blogger called Barbara has set herself the challenge of making at least 100 of the motifs from this book in 2012. I'll certainly be keeping an eye on her projects!
The book is ring bound which is always handy for reference books that are going to be flicked through regularly. Also, with a ring bound book, the pages lie nice and flat without springing up, so it's easier to read when you are crocheting. I wish more pattern books were ring bound.
The patterns come in both written and charted format. I tend to use both the charts and the written instructions together as it helps me to understand the pattern better.
The motifs made so far:

# 40 flower
# 104 tiny square with popcorn stitch
# 65 triangle with small flower in the middle
# 20 circle with overlapping colours
 All from the book:
