Queen’s Surprise Club - Skein Queen Yarn

Do you find yourself stuck in a rut, always buying the same kind of colours of yarn? Too afraid to move out of your comfort zone? This is what happens to me, so every year I like to join a yarn club...the kind where you  have no choice in the colours that are sent to you. This year I signed up for the Skein Queen's Surprise Club.
Debbie is the Skein Queen and she is an indie yarn dyer. For the club she takes inspiration from a book, film or TV programme and expertly dyes beautiful and unique colourways on luxury yarn bases.
My first package of yarn has been inspired by the book Before I Go To Sleep.

From the Back Cover:
Memories define us.
So what if you lost yours every time you went to sleep?
Your name, your identity, your past, even the people you love - all forgotten overnight.
And the one person you trust may only be telling you half the story.
Welcome to Christine's life.

I'd describe the book as a psychological thriller....I downloaded it onto my iPad  and once I'd started I couldn't stop... I had to know what happened to her so despite the limited free time available in my life, I managed to read the book in just three days!
The yarn is a gorgeous silky, soft blend of Bluefaced Leicester and silk.
The colour is a semi-solid icy blue, sometimes pale turquoise, then light azure...shading into the palest of blues that is almost white. Sadly, I have not managed to capture these subtle changes of colour in my photo.
It is called "Darting Minnows"and has been named after a passage in the book where the main character, Chrissy, describes her memories like minnows darting in a shallow stream.
I like this yarn... I wouldn't usually buy such a soft and pale colour.
What shall I make with it? I'm thinking maybe a sleeveless, drapey cardigan or a shawl, perhaps dotted with Swarvoksi beads... how about adding another colour? Contrasting or tonal?
Hmmmmm.... I'll ponder this some more.
