Remember the motifs I made a couple of weeks ago, from the book Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs
?
I used the little blue flower motif as an embellishment to a fabric envelope.
Using coloured felt, I trimmed it with ribbon and sewed up the seams with my machine. Then I hand tacked the crocheted flower onto the front and added a popper to secure the flap.
Quite cute? I think it makes a nice change to a white paper envelope and you can use it afterwards for something else...perhaps to store a piece of jewellery?
Don't forget to check out Barbara's blog for more inspiration and ideas from the book and also the Ravelry group.
