Darting Minnows & A Stubborn Donkey

At last, after more than 6 hours of un-tangling the contrasting brown skein of "Lustrous" I have been able to knit some rows of my Cameo wrap. The colour way is "Bray" ...very apt considering how it refused to be caked nicely and behaved like a stubborn mule. I had to use a lot of patience and cajoling to get it to behave.
The blue yarn colourway is "Darting Minnows" from the Queen's surprise club.
After the initial anger and frustration of finding the skein to be so utterly knotted up, I took to de-tangling a little bit everyday. Retracing the route of the yarn as it weaved in and out of itself, inch by inch actually became quite therapeutic and addictive after a while. I've had a lot to think about of late.
I've not read much of the book for next month's Queen's Surprise Club which is Girl Reading
I'm reading it on my iPad. There aren't any speech marks which I realise is the style it's written in but I find it slightly irritating as I'm not always sure about who it is that's talking :-|
I will persist and at least make an effort to read the first of the seven short stories.
