Project Rowan Arielle - Picking Up Where I Left Off

It's been nearly a year since I worked on this project. Some unknown force re-kindled the desire to finish this top. I had completed the back which I couldn't even find at first - it was stashed away in a crate. Then I had to locate the yarn, knitting needles and pattern book... all of which were in different places.
Thank goodness I made some notes in my previous two posts about this project because I had totally forgotten what I had done!
Anyway, I managed to gather everything together, work out what was what and cast on for the front. I had an enjoyable couple of brief sessions knitting in the garden. I had my usual companion.
You can also see the chili plants I have grown from seed. Well, actually they are paprika plants. For some reason they have not been very vigorous. I doubt I will get any paprika off them this year. Reading up about it on the web, it also seems that strictly speaking, they are annuals, not perennials. It is possible to keep them for more than one year. My track record for gardening is patchy. I am more than capable and reasonably knowledgeable... I'm just not very devoted. Well, I will try my best and see what happens.
In the mean time, I saw a chili plant in the supermarket that was covered in chilies (above)...and it was reduced to £2.35. I bought it. It really brings into contrast how pathetic mine are.
Hopefully it won't take me a whole year to complete the front of my project.
The pattern is Arielle and it's from the pattern book "Misty" by Kim Hargreaves (link below).
