Soft White Sesame Baps - Bread Making Machine

I made these a few time over the Christmas period when the shops weren't open for fresh bread. I was really pleased with the result - tasty, soft and easy to make. I made the dough in my very trusty but basic Hinari Homebaker breadmaker which is still going strong after nearly 13 years of use and then baked the rolls in the oven.

I used the Floury Bap recipe in the "user guide & recipe book" that came with the breadmaker.

Soft Sesame Bap Recipe

Ingredients for the dough:
225ml / 8 fl oz water
400g / 14 oz strong white bread flour
30ml / 2 tbsp dried milk powder
5ml /1 tsp salt
5ml /1 tsp sugar
25g / 1 oz butter
2 1/2 ml / 1/2 teaspoon easy blend dried yeast

Topping:
milk
2 teaspoons of sesame seeds

Method:
Place the water & butter in the breadmaker pan first.
Then add the flour, dried milk, sugar, salt & yeast.
Select the DOUGH programme and then turn on.
It takes a couple of hours to complete the cycle.
Remove the dough onto a floured surface and knock back.
Divide into eight pieces and form each into a round.
Place on greased baking trays (i used greased baking paper on my trays).
Cover with oiled cling film and leave in a warm place to rise for 40-60 minutes.
Remove cling film. Brush with the milk and sprinkle on the sesame seeds.
Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200°C / 400°F / Gas Mark 6 for 15 minutes until golden.

Best eaten on day of baking. I had some left over and placed them in an airtight container - they were still pretty fresh the following day.
