Christmas Craft Project - Tree Garland

Yes, I know it seems a bit early to be even mentioning Christmas but I was asked by a former student of my crochet course whether I would write a craft article for the NCT.

For some mad reason, despite already not having enough time to do the things I'm supposed to be doing, I agreed to put something together.

I had the dilemma of creating a project using crochet that a child could do. Apart from a basic chain, it's not really something a child can easily tackle so I had the idea of making it a "parent & child" Christmas tree garland project - the parent does the (relatively) difficult part of making the trees and the child has a go at making the chain and then both parent and child can have fun decorating the trees in any way they choose from sewing on buttons to glueing on felt shapes or sequins.

I'm pretty pleased with the result - we'll just have to wait and see if it's published!

Once I know more I'll publish the pattern here too.
