What's On & Off My Needles / Hooks - WIP + FOs

I feel like I've been busy but not actually achieved a lot since my last post two weeks ago.
However, I have completed and joined all the motifs for my "Art Scarf". I crocheted a plain border and blocked it to see how it lay. Then I crocheted another couple of rounds in the two other colours and gently pressed the border instead of washing and blocking all over again. I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out.
I have also started a couple of other variations on the same theme.
No more work done on my "Water For Elephants" but I have done quite a bit more knitting on my "Boxy & Buttony". I've done quite a bit of knitting while watching the tennis (Indian Wells) on TV. I don't have enough yarn for this so I'm keeping a close eye on how much yarn I'm using for the front & back. I am going to use another colour to add a wide band to the bottom and also to knit the majority of the sleeves with it too. I've got some lovely yarn (Nyansera Bijou 4 ply) given to me in a Posh swap that I think might work well.
Even though I have a ton of my own patterns that need putting up for testing, I have just signed up for another of Vicky Chan's tests after she ear-burned me because I couldn't resist this beautiful shrug. I love that she combines knitting with crochet - there are very few patterns out there that do this. One day I plan to design a few of my own!
I recently designed and made the crochet top below which I need to write up after I've modified a few points in the design. I'll add that to the pile...not a happy prospect right now as I have picked up a horrible cold and sore throat which is stopping me from sleeping at night. I have taken so much Lemsip, ibuprofen and honey that I'm sure I'm at the point of overdosing. I really hope I can get some sleep soon so that it doesn't drag on too long. At least Marco Baby doesn't seem to have picked it up yet.

  1. love the top you designed, and it looks pretty perfect as it is - curious to see what changes you'll make!
